How many times did I hear that one growing up. While it was intended to be an attempt at sarcasm by my mom, my answer wasn't. I wanted to say 'Yes! Draw me a picture!' Visual communication is what drives me. It's what I do and how I live my life.

I’m Valerie Swyryn. I design for the web and printed page. I believe a message is more effective when presented in a balanced, visually pleasing manner. It should be something you feel, not just read. I have over 20 years of professional experience in graphic design and production for the printing industry. I have now branched out to web design, recently graduating from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Online Division. I'm ready to combine my past graphics knowledge and skills, and my newly obtained ones into outstanding projects for the web. Let's work together to get your message out there!
